Our staff team at The Woodgate Adventure Playground have over 150 years of experience between them. Here, at the playground we are dedicated to support young children develop new skills, mentally and physically that are hugely beneficial in adulthood. We encourage children to become more independent, out going, and being their best selves.

With over 40 years of experience at Woodgate Adventure Playground, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing the growth and development of countless children who’ve passed through our doors. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see not only the children thrive, but also the playground itself evolve over the years. I’m deeply passionate about what we do here and grateful every day to be a part of such a vibrant and supportive community

Stu - Deputy

I have worked at the playground for 25 years, I have enjoyed working supporting and helping in the development of our users. I enjoy engaging with other projects and schools in our community to help benefit the playground.

Rachel - Inclusion Coordinator

I have worked at the playground for 21 years, I started as an arts worker but have been a key worker of the support team for 15 years. I really enjoy working with young people, I love my role and cannot imagine working in any other environment.

I first attended the playground when I was 12 years old and have never really left. I have always enjoyed working with young people and it is an honour to go give back to the playground.

I started attending the playground when i was ten years old, since then i have volunteered and became a play worker. I love how diverse and inclusive the playground is and being part of such a dedicated staff team.

Stacey - Play & support worker.

I have attended the playground from around the age of 9, i became a volunteer then gradually became a worker. The playground holds massive memories from the past and i love being part of such a massive community space.

Mark - Sports coordinator

I started attending the playground when i was around 9 years old. I started working at the playground age 18 and have been here for over 19 years. One thing that inspires me the most is seeing different cultures and ethnic backgrounds attend the playground through sports, getting on so well. Woodgate is an inspirational and special place in the community and i am proud to be apart of it; seeing family generations grow with our support over the years.

Steve - Support Worker.

I have worked at the playground for almost one year; working with children who require extra support on a one-to-one basis. My favourite thing about the playground is that it is a safe space to help children grow more independent, gaining more freedom.
