Extra Support

We provide an environment in which all children with special educational needs (SEN) are supported to reach their full potential.

Developed with an individual in mind.

The Woodgate Adventure Playground understands the value of play and is dedicated to opening its doors to as many children as possible. We take issues concerning accessibility very seriously and are committed to creating an inclusive environment. We have a dedicated support team with extensive experience of working with children with a wide range of additional support requirements. Our support provision is overseen by a designated support coordinator, who works with families/carers and other children's services to ensure that each child receives tailored assistances. Our support system offers a range of support measures including two-to-one, one-to-one, key worker and touch base.

Inclusion projects!

Not only do we provide extra support but we go above and beyond to ensure our children learn long lasting life skills. Here, at the playground we run a wide range of inclusion projects from arts and crafts, cooking to even writing CV's. Our inclusion projects are designed by the children and a designated member of staff, for the children.

Our cooking projects have shown to be in the highest demand. Not only so the young chefs cook a healthy hot meal for an average of 100 children but they have to do this on a budget. Learning money management as well as being able to broadcast their cooking talents.
